Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the LemmeKnow Android application handles data. LemmeKnow is published by LemmeDoIt LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Oregon ("we", "us", the "Developer"). Contact: [email protected].

Data collected by the app

LemmeKnow does not collect personal information. The app operates either entirely on your device, or by connecting to one or more MQTT brokers that you or a third party control. There is no external server operated by the Developer that accesses your traffic. All message content, server addresses, authentication credentials, and configuration are stored only on your device and transmitted only to the brokers you specify.

Data shared with the Developer

The Developer does not operate any server component that receives data from the app. No telemetry, analytics, crash reports, or usage metrics are sent to the Developer. The Developer has no access to the content of alerts you receive or the servers you configure.

Data shared with third parties

Google Play Billing is used to process the optional premium upgrade purchase. Purchase status is verified locally via the Google Play Billing library on your device. The Developer does not maintain a server that receives purchase information from Google. Google itself collects data related to the purchase in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you connect the app to an MQTT broker operated by a third party, that broker's own privacy practices apply to any data you transmit through it. You should consult the privacy policy of any third-party server before configuring it in the app.

Permissions used by the app

The app requests Android permissions required to deliver notifications and connect to the network, including internet access, foreground service, notification posting, and (optionally user configured) full-screen intent. All permissions are used solely to perform a function you are currently attempting to use and are thus requested as needed.

Data retention and deletion

All data stored by the app is local to your device. Uninstalling the app removes this data. Server-side data retained by any MQTT broker you connect to is governed by that broker's own policies and is outside the Developer's control.

Your rights

If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws granting rights of access, correction, deletion, or portability, those rights apply to any personal data we hold about you. Because the Developer does not operate a server that receives personal data from the app, we do not hold such data.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version of this page.
